Vietnam Veterans Dog Tag Memorial

For the First Time Outside of Washington D.C. the names of those killed in action will be displayed in a new permanent memorial at the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum. This memorial, an immense 10 x 40 foot sculpture entitled Above & Beyond, will be comprised of imprinted dog tags, one for each of the more than 58,000 service men and women who died in the Vietnam War. The National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum expects the bulk of the funding for the project to come from people across the county and around the world. It is a rare opportunity for thousands of citizens to join together in paying tribute to those whose lives were lost in service to their country. Above & Beyond is a singular honor for Chicago and is supported by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund in Washington, D.C. For more information, contact the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum.
